Hans Platzgumer

Father of CONVERTIBLE
musician | composer | author | producer | underground hero & iconic figure

Before splitting in 1994, Austro-American Grunge-Icons HP Zinker had achieved cult-status all over the indie-world. They released on such labels as Matador, Thrill Jockey and Roughneck (Domino´s predecessor), were nominated for a Grammy and shared stages worldwide with the likes of Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Lemonheads and Ween on countless tours.

Zinker mastermind Hans Platzgumer (git, voc) thereafter moved back to good old Europe and kept busy with various electronic outputs and gigs. He toured and released under different monikers such as Queen of Japan, Goldene Zitronen, Aura Anthropica, Cube & Sphere, HP.Stonji oder e:gum on labels like Lado, Disko B, Cheap, Playhouse or Klein. 2005 Platzgumer published his first novel “Expedition”.
